The Mattoon Pride Softball organization started in 1993 with only one team in the 12U age division and has expanded over the years to include 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams that all compete at a high level still today. In 2010, the Mattoon Pride softball organization was the first organization to be inducted into the National Softball Association Hall of Fame. Once again in 2016, the Mattoon Pride added to it's list of accolades by being inducted into the Illinois Amatuer Softball Association Hall of Fame.
